This two-part research project for the Indiana Medical History Museum focuses on the complex topic of psychiatric patient artwork. Part 1 focuses on the ethical considerations for the care, collection, and display of patient artwork; Part 2 establishes visitor goals for a theoretical exhibit displaying patient artwork.

This project was inspired by a collection of patient artwork from Indiana's Central State Hospital held at the Indiana Medical History Museum. This research is currently being used to determine the future of this unique collection.
